Rio Encantado

Rio Encantado
Rio Encantado
Gay Owned Vacation Rental Cabin in Caldera, Panama.

A 100 acre Nature Resort on both sides of the Caldera River located 15 min. from Boquete and out of the strong wind and misty rain that is a constant in the Boquete mountains. We have 4 fully furnished private cottages, a 30 x 60 ft pool, fully furnished Rancho on the river and next to the pool.

Rio Encantado

Rio Encantado is not for the visitor who wants to be in the middle of an urban or even suburban setting, it is comfortable wilderness. This is the place for a quit retreat, a swim in the river, a walk in the tropical forest. The setting was being cleared for pasture when Frank purchased it, he reversed the process, reforesting, reinvigorating the native environment. Rio Encantado is a real nature preserve in the diminishing wilderness of Chiriqui.

El Rio Encantado is a hundred acre, private Eco Lodge and Nature Resort in Panama, that sits on both sides of the River Caldera. We’re on a paved road about 15 minutes away from the town of Boquete. Set aside years ago and protected from development, Rio Encantado is a very special place to pass your vacation.
We offer three comfortable cottages, scattered throughout the property, allowing our guests to explore our luxurious gardens on well cared for nature trails.
Each of our cottages is self-sufficient and includes a complete kitchen. We also have a Rancho, with a full kitchen and bar next to the pool.
The town of Caldera is just 2 over a mile down the road – you’ll find restaurants, grocery supplies, and the Caldera hot springs.
Spend an afternoon by our swimming pool or jump into the three tropical swimming holes in our adjacent river.
We’ve also recently added a special Tree House on the river, in a very special location.
Rio Encantado welcomes all nature lovers and birders from all over the world, and is ideal for guests 12 years and up.
