BFI Flare: London LGBT Film Festival – Since starting life in 1986 as Gay’s Own Pictures, BFI Flare: London LGBT Film Festival (formerly BFI London Lesbian & Gay Film Festival) has brought the best in international queer cinema to the South Bank. The festival has evolved to become one of the highlights in the LGBT cultural calendar, a place for the breadth of the community, and a few of our honored friends, to meet and watch and talk and drink and dance and debate. March 16-26, 2017
The BFI is marking 50 years since a major landmark in human rights – the partial decriminalization of homosexuality in England and Wales – with a number of screenings and events at BFI Southbank this summer, on BFI Player, around the UK, and during BFI Flare.
This summer BFI Southbank will host Gross Indecency, a season that will explore the pioneering – and sometimes problematic – depictions of LGBT life in British film and TV in the years immediately before and after the 1967 Sexual Offences Act.
On BFI Player a range of free-to-view, rental and subscription titles will be available, including newly digitized film and TV from the BFI National Archive.
Visitors to BFI Mediatheques around the UK can explore an extensive free-to-view collection dedicated to LGBT life on screens across the past century, while cinemas across the UK will screen an archive touring program, LGBT Britain on Fil facilitated through the Independent Cinema Office.

Seasons of Pride is pleased to present the Gay Pride or LGBTQ Pride Calendar for 2017. You will find Gay Pride events, LGBT Film Festivals, and the Gay Travel Events like Gay Ski Weeks. We do our best to try and keep up with all the events, but sometimes we miss one or two.
