Bears on Ice – BEARS ON ICE is a friendly social event for bears and friends where you get to see a little bit of Iceland and have fun with like-minded guys from all over the world. Reykjavik, Iceland; Aug 31 – Sept 3, 2017
Frosti Jonsson started BEARS ON ICE back in September 2005. It was Iceland’s first ever bear event and very ambitious from the start with international DJ’s and cooperation with other international events mixed with performances by some of Iceland’s best performers.
BEARS ON ICE is a friendly social event for bears and friends where you get to see a little bit of Iceland and have fun with like-minded guys from all over the world. We also organize smaller social events throughout the year. If you´re coming to Iceland feel free to hit us up and see what happens!
It’s a not-for-profit event, organized by volunteers to spice up the local gay scene and introduce gay-friendly Iceland to our guests. With no budget for promotion, the event has grown year by year by word of mouth and good reputation. Frosti still organizes the event but now with the help of a group of friends. It’s one of Iceland’s top 3 biggest gay events and in recent years Iceland’s only men only events.
For more information on Iceland check out our other project Gayice.is which is a gay travel guide for gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender travelers visiting Iceland. Gayice.is contains information about gay Iceland and more importantly gay Reykjavik where the active gay scene is. Our mission is to provide LGBT travelers with fresh, up to date and practical information about the gay scene in Iceland, such as bars, clubs, and events, suggest what to do, where to go and where to mingle. On Gayice.is you´ll also find information about LGBT organizations in Iceland, social groups among other things which might be helpful if you are visiting Iceland.
Seasons of Pride is pleased to present the Gay Pride or LGBTQ Pride Calendar for 2017. You will find Gay Pride events, LGBT Film Festivals, and the Gay Travel Events like Gay Ski Weeks. We do our best to try and keep up with all the events, but sometimes we miss one or two.
